Masdevallia 'Red Baron'

Masdevallia 'Red Baron' is a hybrid orchid within the Pleurothallidinae subtribe, with ancestry likely involving species native to the cool, mist-laden cloud forests of the Andes, particularly in Ecuador and Colombia. It produces a single, tubular flower per inflorescence, with fused sepals forming an elongated shape. The flower is typically deep red to reddish-purple and held on an upright stem above the foliage. Like many in its genus, it performs best in consistently cool, humid conditions.

• Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Direct sun should be avoided.
• Water: Keep the medium consistently moist. Use low-mineral water and avoid letting it dry out.
• Humidity: High humidity above 70% is ideal for sustained growth and flowering.
